Ori
by Ronan Bouroullec
This special tile, created through the clay extrusion technique, is not just a conventional wall covering but rather a form of wall art. Ori, meaning “weaving” in Japanese, creates textile-like patterns reminiscent of woven fabric. The subtle tones of traditional Japanese glazes allow for delicate and varied colour combinations. Ori can be applied from corner to corner or used as a decorative, cloud-like composition floating on the wall.
