SOSEI
by Ronan Bouroullec
Ronan Bouroullec created a series of 17 vase-like objects whose parts are made using the clay extrusion method typical of tile production in Tajimi. Geometric elements are attached to cylindrical bodies to create compositions of geometric forms, colours, and glazes. The harmonising, deep colours of traditional Japanese glazes are a tribute to the beauty of Japanese ceramics. Besides the Tajimi Custom Tiles Gallery, Sosei is also owned by the Centre Pompidou in Paris and is available through Galerie Kreo, Paris (limited availability).
